Sacrament of Reconciliation on Divine Mercy Sunday

Did you know that Jesus promised special graces and blessings to those who (1) go to confession and (2) receive communion on Divine Mercy Sunday?

All are invited to come to Confession for Divine Mercy Sunday this year. (If you are ill or otherwise unable to come to confession safely, you may instead make an Act of Contrition at home.)

All three Oshkosh parishes will be offering the Sacrament of Reconciliation from 1:00 to 2:30, so if you prefer you may go to Most Blessed Sacrament (St. Peter’s) or St. Raphael.

Since we cannot receive communion sacramentally at this time, you may make an Act of Spiritual Communion instead.

Finally, all are encouraged to pray the rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet on Sunday. You can pray at home, or follow along on Facebook beginning at 2:30 pm.

An Act of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus,
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
