Enter more deeply into the spirit of Advent this year with a journey into art and sacred scripture!
Among the many images that Michelangelo painted on the ceiling of the pope’s Sistine Chapel are twelve prophets who foretold the coming of Jesus, the Messiah. Seven of these figures are Old Testament Hebrew prophets. Five of them, strangely, are non-Jewish “pagan” figures who seemed to foretell a future divine king.
Join us as we reflect on the prophecies that long ago foretold the coming of Jesus and today can help us better know our Lord!
