Friday, March 27: A Message from Father Louis
As we continue to navigate these unprecedented times it is our intention as a staff to use as much technology as possible so that you may continue to grow in your spirituality, faith, and love of God. Each day we are finding news ways of filming and streaming those things you may be feeling a void over missing.
Here are some of the items we have worked on (click each item to view):
- Stations of the Cross led by Deacon Pat Gelhar
- The Mysteries of the Rosary
- Daily Mass—livestreamed on Facebook Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday at 7:30 am, and available afterward on Youtube
- Saturday Evening Mass—livestreamed on Facebook at 4:30 pm, and available afterward on Youtube
- Sacred Heart Church—open 7 days a week for personal prayer, 8 am to 4 pm
Some things that are currently in the works:
- A Children’s Book Club Online—read by children
- Family Game Night Online
- Care Ministry is working on reaching out to all those who may be shut-in.
At this time much of the world is staying home – we are working hard to reach out to you in as many ways as possible. While we thank you for your generosity so far we ask you to prayerfully consider your offertory to St. Jude. Our offertory makes it possible for us to be able to continue the mission of Christ by serving the people of God. Our costs continue even during this tough time. Please know that if you are not able to give of money we ask even more for your prayers.
Ways of contributing through offertory during this time:
- Send a check to the office (1025 W. 5th Avenue, Oshkosh WI 54902) or drop in the mail slot outside the front door
- Set up automated check withdrawal through your financial institution
- Sign up for our online giving program WeShare at stjudeoshkosh.weshareonline.org/
It is of great importance that we have your email addresses to continue to keep you updated. If we do not have one for you please click here to contact us to let us know. Also, spread the word for others to like, and follow, St. Jude on Facebook. All of the streaming live goes through Facebook and then is uploaded to our YouTube Channel.
If you would like to receive a bulletin by email please reach out to us at (920) 235-7412 or office@stjudeoshkosh.org.
In Christ,
Fr. Louis
